Elaine joined the VWW as a member and volunteer in 2017 and is presently on the VWW Communications Marketing and Technology team. She is an almost native Oregonian coming to Portland when she was one year old. She has lived in Aloha for 35 years and is a retired Elementary School Teacher. She also volunteers with her church, at her granddaughters’ schools, and with the United Nations Association Portland.
Darolyn Wylie
Treasurer - Darolyn is a member of the Membership team and joined the Village in 2019. She was a geologist and then got a Masters Degree in Economics before deciding she would rather work for Powell's Books where she spent 20+ years. She is also on the worship team at her church and loves to learn new art forms.
Pat Cropp
Member at Large - Pat started volunteering with VWW in 2019 as a scheduler. She is a native Oregonian and lives in the Hillsboro Jackson School development. She retired in 2015 after 25 years in a medical billing office. She also volunteers with the Hillsboro library and Kaiser Westside Medical.
Malea Miglioretto
Secretary - Malea has been with Village Without Walls for over 2 years and started out being a first contact for interested new volunteers. She now serves as the Secretary of the Village Council. Except for a short period in Southern California, Malea has always lived in the Hillsboro area. Recently she moved to rural North Plains with her husband, 6-year-old son, two dogs, and 30 guinea fowl. Malea also volunteers regularly for her son's school and especially enjoys his art class.
Maureen O'Rourke
Member at Large - Maureen has been a scheduler since 2017. She lives in the Rock Creek area, is active in the ham radio community and volunteers for the Portland Opera. She retired from the world of libraries and higher education as an academic advisor. Maureen grew up as a military “brat” on various Army bases around the world.
Lyn Trainer
VNW Liaison - Lyn was excited to “discover” Villages NW in 2015 as she was looking for a way to expand the options for older adults to retain their independence and autonomy. Her background with nonprofits drew her to volunteering with the “hub”. She joined the Villages NW Board of Directors in December 2015 where she serves as managing director, sharing day-to-day operations responsibilities with Dick Eyde. She is also an active member of River West Village.
